Visiting Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa In Palestine
Is it permissible for people living outside Palestine to travel there to pray in al-Masjid al-Aqsa?
Praise be to Allah.
Visiting al-Masjid al-Aqsa and praying there is Sunnah when it is possible to do so, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: No journeys should be made specifically to visit any mosque except three: al-Masjid al-Haram [in Makkah] this mosque of mine [in MadInah] and al-Masjid al-Aqsa [in al-Quds/Jerusalem] (SahIh - agreed upon). And Allah is the Source of help.
